Dr. Strand is Professor of Ethics at the Air War College on Maxwell AFB. He holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota, an MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy in Ethics and Religion from the University of Chicago with postdoctoral studies at the Center for Political Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University. Dr. Strand has published articles in American Reformer, and he is a contributing editor of Providence Magazine, which is a publication of The Institute of Religion and Democracy. His forthcoming book Gods of the Nations (Cambridge University Press) is a study of Augustine’s political theology in City of God.
