Thank you for your interest
in Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Trinity Church is a very loving, committed family of
believers who love God and each other. The worship is
vibrant, and the sense of community is strong. We
believe that God is doing a significant work at Trinity,
and we would love for you to visit.
Trinity Church is committed to the Word of God believing
it is without error and utterly trustworthy, our only
rule of faith and practice, and our highest authority.
We are therefore committed to faithful preaching (and
hearing) of texts preached expositionally (verse by
verse) through books of the Bible. We believe that the
application of God’s Word to all of life is essential to
the Christian growth.
The system of doctrine of Trinity Church is the Reformed
faith as set forth in the historic Westminster
Confession of Faith and Catechisms. This is the best
known of the seventeenth-century Protestant statements
of faith and has been heralded as the finest Christian
confession of faith ever composed by uninspired men. The
doctrines of grace of our Confession are
beloved to Reformed Christians, because they are
biblical and emphasize the sovereignty of God in
salvation. “God saves sinners” is the rich motto of the
Reformed faith. While some churches are abandoning or
“updating” this gospel, we are purposely proclaiming
“the faith once-delivered.”
Trinity Church is a missions-minded church, purposed to
give 50% of tithes and offerings to support local and
world missions. We are committed to
the other side of the street and the other side of the
world. We pray continually that God would raise up
members to send to the mission field. Even so, we
support approximately 90 missionaries and mission
agencies. Mission trips that literally take us across
the street and across the world are a major part of our
outreach at Trinity.
The community of Trinity Presbyterian Church is strong.
We are committed to one another with a great emphasis on
mutual accountability, love and care. We rejoice with
those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.
Discipleship, accountability, and godly disciplines are
keys to Trinity’s commitment to one another.
Our purpose at Trinity Presbyterian Church is TO EXALT
CHRIST IN METROPOLITAN MONTGOMERY BY DYNAMIC AND
FAITHFUL WORSHIP, AGGRESSIVE EVANGELISM BOTH AT HOME AND
ABROAD, TEACHING THE WORD OF GOD AND EQUIPPING MEMBERS
TO MINISTER TO THE SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF OUR CHURCH AND
COMMUNITY. Indeed, we are resolutely committed to
worship in spirit and in truth all that points to God,
is centered on Christ, and focuses on the cross. We
believe the power of salvation is found in the message
of hope called the Gospel and from the pulpit the
Scriptures are expounded, the sinner exhorted, and our
Savior exalted. Our goal is mirrored in the principles
of the early Christian church: TO TEACH AND EQUIP SAINTS
TO GO TO THE MISSION FIELD … whether that mission field
is South Hull Street, South Alabama, South America, or
South Africa.
At the very core of Trinity’s ministry is a united
membership. Christ said, This is My commandment,
that you love one another as I have loved you
(John 15:12). Our love, unity and commitment to one
another will provide strong witness to the world.
I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect
in one, and that the world may know that You have sent
Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me
(John 17:23). Again, Jesus says, As You sent Me
into the world, I also have sent them into the world
(John 17:18).
