Children’s Catechism
The Children’s Catechism is a translated form of the Shorter
Catechism. Trinity Church children learn questions 1-30 in
the Sunday School memory work. The last year of Catechism
Class is during the fourth grade with the goal of reciting
all 145 answers in one sitting. Catechism has
been taught in sections, grades 1-3. The Fourth graders’
goal is to say 1-145 in one sitting. Special awards and
recognition will be given to those who achieve this goal.
During the second grade the children are taught the shorter
answers to the ten commandments. During the fourth grade,
they will memorize the longer answer.
